Boeing 747 tribute

Ah, the Queen of the Skies. A beauty to behold, the Boeing 747 has graced our skies since 1969 but is still going strong. With over 1500 aircraft built across over 10 different variants, and the latest being the -8i and the -8f, she is not as irrelevant as some may think.

Operators flying the 747 to Singapore include: Singapore Airlines Cargo, Cathay Pacific Cargo, China Airlines Cargo, EVA Air Cargo (discontinued), Nippon Cargo Airlines, Asiana Cargo, Cargolux, Qatar Airways Cargo, DHL, United Parcel Services (UPS) and Korean Air.

The Boeing Large Converted Freighter (LCF), better known as the Dreamlifter. These four majestic Queens play an important role in the transportation of  787 Dreamliner parts, including wings and fuselages. The Dreamlifter has a specially enlarged fuselage in order to fit the large-sized cargo they are required to ferry.

Pictured here are N249BA and N747BC, taken at Nagoya Chubu Centrair Airport (NGO/RJGG) dropping by for some 787 parts. It is such an honour to catch two of these elusive ladies in a single day!
