Silkair

Silkair first started as Tradewinds in 1975, using aircraft leased from Singapore Airlines. In 1991, Tradewinds was rebranded into Silkair (MI/SLK) with a fleet of MD87s, 737-300s and A310s. However, this airline's history and legacy are about to be cut short, as MI is being dissolved and merged into SQ's and Scoot's fleet and operations. Currently, it flys to 41 destinations across 25 countries, with its base being Singapore Changi Airport (SIN/WSSS). It has been truly a joy to fly with Silkair.

MI operates a fleet of two A319s, eight A320s, 17 B737-800s and six B737-8  MAX 8s, with 31 more MAXs on order.
